Termin:  06. November 2012, 16 Uhr

Ort:  Raum 201, Eichleitnerstr. 30

Dr. Guazzini gives a talk about a tri-partite model of the human cognition that can be applied for the implementation of self-aware systems. The model is based on three parts: a module A that deals with external input and populates the internal context, a module B that elaborate this information and performs actions, and a module C that controls the previous modules and is responsible of learning. As an example application of his model, he will demonstrate a self-organized community detection in large networks.

Dr. Andrea Guazzini is researcher at the Department of Psychology at the University of Florence, and an associate researcher of the Institute of Informatics and Telematics (IIT) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). He is also a member of the Centre for the Study of Complex Dynamics (CSDC) of the University of Florence, where he leads the VirtHuLab. He is an experimental psychologist and received his Phd in Complex Systems and non-linear Dynamics from the University of Florence (2008). He has worked on several aspects of cognitive activity using the tools of complex systems science. Currently, his research focus has shifted to the modeling of humans cognition and (virtual) social dynamics.
