RelMiCS10/AKA5 - How To Get There

By Plane

Fly to Munich Airport. Take S-Bahn line 8 to Munich East Station (Ostbahnhof), then the train to Prien at Lake Chiem. From the station there to the lake harbour Prien-Stock (about 20 min. by foot, or by bus, taxi oder Chiemsee-railway; we will try to provide a shuttle service. Finally, take the ship to the Fraueninsel (about 25 – 35 min. ride). The timetable of the ships can be found here; also the times in blue are relevant for our conference.
Caution: the last boat for the island leaves Prien at 18:30!
The nunnery is next to the landing pier.

Alternatively, fly to Salzburg, take bus or taxi to Salzburg Main Station and then the train to Prien and go on as above.

By Train

Use the line Munich-Salzburg; the trains run every hour. Schedules can be found here. Get off at Prien. Then proceed as above.

By Car

Autobahn A8 from Munich into the direction of Salzburg; exit "Bernau", via Prien into the direction of Rimsting/Breitbrunn to Gstadt. Park your car (no cars allowed to the island), there is sufficient parking space. Take the ship to the Fraueninsel (about 10 min. ride).
