With the beginning of winter semester 2004/05 the University of Augsburg started together with the TU Munich in close cooperation with colleagues from financial mathematics, business sciences and (business) information techology the elite study course "Finance & Information Management". The course, lasting 4 up to maximum 5 semesters, is meant for students in diploma and bachelor study courses as from the 4. semester in business sciences, (financial and business) mathematics, business information technology, applied computer science as well as allied fields of study. By the combination of specialized excellency in the range of financial business management and IT-industry with soft skills, multidisciplinarity and international networks the elite study enables highly gifted and motivated students with its intensive and individual supervision to study intense, international, swift and at the same time networked. This is meant as a contribution to form a leading elite in economy, science and policy.
