Very large amount of data like digital multimedia documents, found in libraries and museums, impose problems of their own: new methods have to be developed to store, administrate, find and deliver lots of gigabytes or even terabytes over networks. We are interested in scalability and multi stage storage hierarchies. Queries which express image information at an user level are important for application areas.
