Deductive Database Systems
Since the first days of this reseach area, the department is involved in theory, implementation, and commercialization. We deal with deductive database systems enriched by semantic subsumption information. The concept of subsumption is well suited to declare powerful data filters and data aggregation. Application areas of special interest are Data Warehouses and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP).
